"Don't let the person who didn't love you, keep you from the one who will." I read somewhere again last night. This once, I am talking to a girl, who is having suicidal thoughts (that's why she came to me for the consultation) because her serious relationship had just ended. She loves him with all her heart and soul and yet he fell out of love for her and ended it. Her regular day began with texting him in the morning and ended when she slept while talking to him on phone. He was her world and now that he was gone, she didn't see any point in living her life without him anymore. So I ask her to draw a circle on a paper (like a sun) and to draw rays out of the sun, each ray reflecting an aspect of her life like friends, family, job, love, dance, other hobbies etc) She scribbles on the paper for about 5 minutes, thinking and drawing more and more rays and keeps staring after completing it for another 5 minutes. Then she looks at me with shock and remarks,"I did not realise I had other aspects to my life too. And I had been ignoring my parents and my brother and my friends and my love for dance." And she goes back to staring at the circle of her life. I decide not to say anything for a long time because I don't want to disrupt her new thought process. So now my personal version of the famous (opening) statement is: "Don't let the person who didn't love you, keep you from the ONES WHO DO"
